The “Different Strokes” star, who was ailing from a congenital kidney disease, was admitted to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center on Wednesday (May 26) following a fall at his home.
He was fully conscious after the accident, but his condition gradually worsened with manager John Alcantar revealing he was “unconscious and on life support.”
A statement released by hospital officials reads: “Family members and close friends were at his side when life support was terminated. Family members express their appreciation and gratitude for the support and prayers that have been expressed for Gary and for them.”
A press conference is scheduled to be held at the hospital on this afternoon.

Kesha’s former managers DAS Communications want a piece of that stinky pie now that she’s all famous and stuff.The managers are saying that they were by her side when she was an up-and-comer in 2006, but she pushed them out when songwriter Dr. Luke came into the picture.
Her lawyer, Charles Ortner, however, is calling bullshizz, saying their agreement allowed her leave if they didn’t line up a deal for her – which they didn’t.
DAS says that Dr. Luke interfered with their arrangement and “induced, intimidated and convinced Ke$ha” to cut ties with them.
They’re seeking more than $14 million in damages from her and $12 million from Dr. Luke.
Ortner says:
“This lawsuit seeks to require her to pay him commissions on her RCA/Jive record deal that he had nothing to do with, long after she terminated him in writing.”
Sounds totally shady of the former managers!

The “Bad Romance” songstress performed in Nottingham, England to a packed house, donning a variety of crazy stage outfits as she sang through her hit-filled set list.
During the show, GaGa got a bit emotional, telling the crowd she was worried about her ailing grandfather and dedicating the song “Speechless” to him.
She announced, “If we all sing loud enough, maybe he can hear us!” before breaking down in tears halfway through the song.
She also tweeted:

Making for a double dose of good news, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are not only engaged – but they’re expecting a baby, too!
Currently traveling around the world as Miss Keys performs on tour, a rep for the happy couple tells that the duo “are expecting a baby and are engaged to be married in a private ceremony later this year.”
The nuptials with Swizz Beatz marks for the first marriage for Alicia, with the baby-on-the-way being the couple’s first, as well. Swizz Beatz has two sons, 3 and 9, from previous relationships.
Keeping it short and sweet, a source close to the musician mates dishes, “They’re very happy.”

50 Cent has lost a shocking amount of weight for his upcoming movie ‘Things Fall Apart,’ in which he plays a cancer-ridden football player.
According to ThisIs50.com, he dropped from 214 pounds to 160 over the course of just nine weeks with a liquid diet and working out three hours a day.
50 is co-producing the film with Randall Emmett, his partner in Cheetah Vision Films..
