After almost 2 years off, Pop/Soul/RnB Recording Artist AiRis is releasing another new hit single to be launched on February 6th in anticipation for its valentine’s day tone. Following the release of her debut single “Without you”, which received engaging reviews from the African music industry and one more thereafter, “Sick in Love”, the new single is a music anthem for years to come. This time she has released a new single titled ‘Olowo Ori Mi’ produced by Shizzy and Victor ‘Spankie Doodle’ Oganua (who produced the award winning track ‘Kolomental’ which was his first debut production in 2008)

After an almost 2 year hiatus to focus on her record label, AiRis branched out in a big way with a new and impressive business venture. On her break, she was working hard to contribute in making an impact in the music industry by officially launching her very own recording studio; Airis Music Studios which is located at 35b Agodogba Avenue, Park View Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria.

Noteworthy growing clientele of AiRis Music Studios include Les Nubians among others. There is also a 12-week course available for aspiring Musicians, Recording artists and Producers to learn musical instruments like the guitar, drums, saxophone, violin and the piano. Olowo Ori Mi is an upbeat Afropop romantic song laced with AiRis’ soulful vocals with Yoruba infusions highlighting the chorus for that Afro effect. Olowu Bardia Adebola aka ILLRYMZ needs no further introduction as a Nigerian radio personality, model, television host, writer and producer. He is the Producer and host of Radio Outloud with Nokia & Ill; a PAN Nigerian syndicated reality radio show that airs on Beat FM & Cool FM in Lagos, Rhythm FM Abuja & Port Harcourt, BCA Umuahia and Freedom FM Kano. On television, Illrymz is the new host of Nigerian Idol alongside Tiwa Savage.

Unknown to many, this versatile young man has been an artiste from the get go. He is a hip-hop/ r&b artiste and was formerly a member of a gospel group SOL. Now he makes a return with the release of a smashing pop single titled ‘Padawa’ , featuring EME signed rapper Skales & the multi-talented producer, Dokta Frabz. A monster collabo guaranteed to gain massive airplay both on radio and in clubs. The hot single mixes elements of pop with hip-hop and is accompanied by Yoruba infused lyrics. It is also the first single off his yet untitled debut album.

ILLRYMZ as a brand has made a mark in all fields of entertainment he’s delved into and intends to do the same with his music.

Literally minutes ago the visuals for Alexandra Burke‘s ‘Elephant‘ premiered on Chart Show TV. The Erick Morillo-produced new single is the first to be taken from the X Factor alum’s sophomore album – due for release this spring.

While it’s nothing spectacular, it gets the job done. Alexandra looks hot and, as always, the choreography is on point; hence it’s a shame it wasn’t more of a focal point throughout the video.

Nevertheless, given how talented she is here’s hoping this is enough to propel her back to the top of the charts, thus paving the way for a stronger and larger budget video for the album’s second single.

Fans will be able to purchase their copy of ‘Elephant‘ when it’s released digitally March 11th.

Moments after I tweeted about how I love this difficult-to-pronounce song, I got on Youtube and dug out the video lol. I have also taken the time to add the mp3 file. I stumbled upon the video on TV and loved the song instantly. Here’s ‘Ikanka Ighota Ije’ by SYM 19. I gathered that the phrase ‘Ikanka Ighota Ije’ is an igbo adage which can be said to be a sarcastic way of telling one that a stitch in time saves nine. Press play and do pay attention to the girl in the video lol..
