Prince To Release 20Ten Album This Year

Following the critical success of his 2009, triple disc compilation, LOTUSFLOW3R, the legendary PRINCE has just announced the release of his next full-fledged studio album.

The 12 track project is called 20TEN, and will be comprised of a new wave of soul and funk sounds.
Prince has spent the past year writing, producing and recording 20TEN at his famed, Paisley Park music studio located in Minnesota. Prince has created some of his finest, latter year material at Paisely Park.

Meanwhile, the album is set to be released here in the United States as early as JULY 22nd; which will then be followed by a full-fledged European tour to promote the project across seas.

Though it has been many years since I last listened to Prince’s more contemporary material, I think I may just download this particular project. Watching Prince receive The Lifetime Achievement Award at this past Sunday’s BET AWARDS, was a reminder that we should continue to honor our greats while they are still alive. Prince is an innovator of sound, as his artistry is undeniably, pure genius.
